Message from the Chair
SHAMOON AHMAD, MD, FACP

The rise and fall of fortunes during the great recession has humbled all and left many without a job and the means to obtain the basic necessities including healthcare. Southern Nevada Community Foundation (SNCF) and the “Community Care Clinics” were created in 2009 to fill the gap for struggling families and individuals. The foundation is managed by volunteer personnel and physicians.

SNCF is a 501(C)(3) non- profit public charity providing free medical care through its support of two primary care clinics, collaborates with local nonprofit organizations to provide healthcare services at remote sites, assistance with medications and groceries through a food bank. SNCF receives no government funding and all services are free.
